whaaaaaat. theres still people here! :O hi. just thought id drop by and see if this was still alive and how everybodys doing. and since most of you dont play anymore, just thought id tell you that believe it or not, jk2 is still alive. JJ, LOL, and Ca still have active servers. jk2 never dies, it just stays really close

I just got a sudden urge to install JK2 again just to visit Ca server and lame some noobs.

lol im glad most people dont enforce laming rules anymore. thinking back on those days its pretty funny how such a stupid rule existed :O Its a fighting game, yet you can only kill someone if they are willing to be killed

That's true.. I remember defending that "no laming" -rule 'till the end. Now when come to think of it the rule purely sucked..
If I have a lightsaber of course I wanna slice everyone up no matter wether they wanna fight back or not.

The irony is that the stupidity of the rule kept the drama going and the game alive.
When people stopped caring the game got boring and died. Not that it wouldn't have, but it certainly helped speed it up.

Hehe so true, I enjoyed admining the server more than I enjoyed playing the game I guess XD But of course the nice FFA's and the skinning where also great parts of the game.

Yea, tell me about it. Admining on the server was the funnier (and only) way to play the game for me, too, for a long time.
Still, after some time it became sure that it had no efftect and people would lame and piss around no matter how hard you tried to /amsleep or /amkick them. Consequently, it seemed that the better way to handle them was to pretty much ignore them and fight back.

Gosh, I miss those days. I don't care how "nerd" it sounds but I have to admit that JK2 made a significant part of my youth.
And I bet none of you can deny it having been the same for you, too.
