Re: Real music to my ear
what ever, I don't listen to old music, most of the bands I listen are formed in 2005 and 2007
well there are bands like Linkin Park, Adema, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, which are kinda old in music business
but what ever, I don't like 2 hand tapping guitar solos, I rather listen something more hard

Re: Real music to my ear
The age of the band does not matter at all. Not at any sector.
The only thing that matters is the quality of their music.
And that's a fact.
It's true that many old bands have brilliant songs, but so do the new ones.
To me the age doesn't matter a crap.

it does, cuz you can feel the diference of the music in an old band, since the effect aren't so good, I mean I don't like the old songs what ever, I won't argue, I will just listen to my songs

Re: Real music to my ear
Of course the age matters on the sound of the band, but it doesn't affect on how good they are.
Music can be good/bad no matter how old/new the band is.

the band is 10 years old
they formed in 1998, Lincoln Park thats were Linkin Parks come, all started from Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon and Brad Delson, they wanted a band in highschool so they started to rehears, then Pheonix the bass player joined with Joe Hahn,, they knew that something was missing thats were Chester pops in, he was already known in music business cuz of hes great voice, I won't tell the rest of the LP history cuz it will take ages to write :p
and I know it, and I'm so proud

Re: Real music to my ear
While discussin music, you couldn't fit me into a genre, because I listen to different types of Music:
Billy Talent - Try Honesty
Dropkick Murphys - Fields of Athenry (Rebel Song)
MIMS - This is why im hot
Paramore - Pressure
Inflames - Take This Life
Saosin - Seven Years
Although I dont listen to much Screaming.
But most songs are a bit....rock-like.
