BoomBlog: 25/10/2008

After probably the heaviest week out of my still-short life (goddamnit that was a lot of homework), vacation has finally begun. Finally. I needed it. Here are some plans for during the holiday.

Major progress in the C++ Primer: the book is gonna get what he deserves. A huge piece of time.

Finish the basic Java tutorials: so I can finally begin on the interesting stuff, graphical user interface programming with the Java API, and get started writing math apps.

Make quite some progress on my game: rebegin developing stuff again (it has been a while).

Do a major part of Grand Theft Auto IV: this game needs to get played by me badly. I am finally gonna finish a GTA game. Finally. Once.

Get into NBA 2K6 again: I still love that game to death.

Finish the DOOM Video playthrough: I've wanted to start this for sooooo long. Now It's finally gome come to it.

Finish Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast: the singleplayer portion at least. Maybe I might get a fascination for Star Wars (very low chance). I am finally gonna finish a game. Finally. Once. It needs to be done.

Restart playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: beautiful RPG, with beautiful graphics (my standards are low), beautiful gameplay, and more freedom than GTA. What could possibly go wrong when you release Boomlala in such an environment? I am thinking about making something similar to the Oblivion Playthrough, but still different. I'll keep you updated.

Learn to play some stuff on my vintage 1980 Casio keyboard: it has been collecting dust long enough. Time to get playin'.

Finish my translation for the Vergilius competition: we need to translate a piece of the Aeneid, in proper Dutch. It's long, so I better begin with it.

Start working on my history paper: mostly research stuff.

Restudy my French: I'm not good at French, and if I want to keep a good grade, it's time to rehearse it.

Restudy my math: I'm in an 8 hours math/week-course, so I'm gonna need to restudy it this holiday if I don't want to drown in it when exams are coming.

Restudy chem/physics: the course is getting more and more difficult, shouldn't hurt restudying it in the holiday.

As you can see, I've got my work cut out for me. What are your plans this holiday?
