If you mean 'present time', well, most of todays songs frankly song.

Ruined hip-hop, one-of-a-dozen pop/rock hybrid songs, uncreative sampling, the fucking Jonas brothers, shortage of guitar solo's, no more synthesizers. Only the dance/techno genre saves this decennium, aswell as a few rare good artists (Christina Aguilera).

I'll take the 80s, 70s or the 60s anyday.

I see you don't knwo todays rock bands geez....look at Story of the year or Silverstein they r both good posthardcore bands...I mean they r original....LP one of the best nu-metal bands....Avenegd Sevenfold and Atreyu solo's own....

Even with those bands, the 00s are one of the worst music decennia.

The best hip-hop was made in the early 90s, when creative sampling began taking his rising. Daft Punk and many other dance groupes got inspired by hip-hop in that way. Modern hip-hop is bullshit, because the quality of the lyrics, the rapping style and the sampling involved is fading out.

Ofcourse, everything said here is opinion, so you basically fail for not acknowledging that.

I'm not saying that all music made these days is diarrhoea. I'm saying a lot of music nowadays is crap, and it's getting worse and worse. Especially the mainstream music that's played on the radio and music channels, eg. all that R&B shit like Rihanna, Britney, Nelly Futrado...

Of course there's awessome music made these days as well, but the direction is downwards IMO.

And there is shit in the past just like nowadays, but many more masterpieces have been made in the past than lately in the present.

Sure, there is good music. But somehow I feel they can't compare. Maybe it's more of a nostalgia thing (which I can't theoretically have, since I never lived in those decades to begin with).

well....honestly I don't like those freaking 80's, 90's style....its just boring....everybody has his/her taste...I mean just listen to those feking old metal songs same old riff almost in every song...screaming sucked...solo's ok I have to admit it Slash feking ownz...but ah nvm!

i personally dont like the rock metal things you know im really alternative because im into musical stuff ( and no im not gay its just my intrest as an actor)
