problem with MP3 files <.<
Normally when you have an MP3 file (or MPEG) under the title you can see the artist and album.
Well I always change that with Itunes so that it's equal for my winamp or my MP3 player.
But I got this one album that doesn't show the artist or the album under the tittle. It's in the file, because my winamp can find it this way, but my MP3 player can't. So it's like really weird, those songs are on my MP3 player, but they don't have an artist. Although my winamp and Itunes do find the artist.
I tried changing the artist with Itunes but it doesn't help.
It fails cause now I can't listen to that album on my MP3
help me

Re: problem with MP3 files <.<
K, fine I'll try to help out...
Lets start by asking; are those from a pirated album?
You could try re-downloading from a different source, and make sure its not exactly the same.
How come you can't listen to the music because it doesn't have an artist? -.O
That would be poor software design.

1. Yes, I can try that, but I have to recon with my dl limit
2. my MP3 is organised with artists, if there's no artist, I can't find the files.
(unless I go to 'all tracks' and search them amongst thousands of others)
It's probably a problem with the files itself, redownload might work

Re: problem with MP3 files <.<
Remember to pick another source and a somewhat different package then the ones you have. It wouldn't help much downloading from another source if the pack was the same.

Re: problem with MP3 files <.<
I think Winamp/iTunes wrote an ID3v2 tag, while your MP3-player only supports ID3v1, or the other way around. I believe there was an option to write an ID3v1 tag in iTunes, you might want to sniff around.

Re: problem with MP3 files <.<
So I converted the files with Itunes to ID3 v1.0
And suddenly, it all worked xD
I don't know what I did, but it's fixed
Thanks Lightning^^
