was surprisingly entertaining. it had a bit of bad press over here when released due to the themes in it

my newspaper (it isn't even a quality one) said it was for 10 year olds.

I could never go see this movie. Simple as that

Its got all rounds of 5s on the dices here.
This movie is for you if you want a pure entertaining film with no special deep story to follow.

Its simple, very unrealistic, has some really kick-ass special effects scenes. The humor isn't too shabby either and the sound is good. It has a well earned 5 of 6 for its genera.

Anyway I heard that KickAss movie is a funny serious not-serious movie. So that kinda leaves it open for me, I'll have to check it out myself. It seems interesting, though.

the only thing i could see in it that was 'deep' was the way they presented violence n mixed it with the online video phenomena / public obsession with 'seeing everything' & at one point throw you into a first person shooter role behind a gun in night vision view - obvious video game throw back, while a young girl slaughters some bad dudes.

it's not a bad flick if you're into that genre, especially if you go in really not expecting much

Edit: it also explores the definition of 'hero' and what is heroic. ie everyday people trying to make a difference vs the stereotypical invincible hero.
