for me last academic year, I went to a cool Swing event by 'Kink Jeff and the Swingers' (mostly Hatfield College students)...
they played a lot of Sinatra, Cole etc, was heaps of fun and dance.. dress code was also strict, I felt like I was in the 30s

The Student Kickoff in Gent. Mostly indie rock. Gonna go to the Night of the Proms in 2 weeks though.
