IF your warranty has ran out on this, there is a possibility you can fix it.

Get the circuit boards out of your cover, preheat the kitchen oven to 200 degrees "Celsius", let it heat for 7-10 min and let it cool again and smack it back together again.

I'm sure there will be a more detailed tutorial about this on the web, I've used this method on my older GPUs that has broken down over the years, and I got 2 of them running again.

rrod isnt the worst thing 3 lights is worse really cause 4 you can fix and 3 you cant.

like xav said if you take the shell apart get to the board then remove the heat sinks you can redo all the thermal that has been destroyed and use standard computer sync paste (Make Sure Silver Compound tho).

i have fixed 2 xboxs quiet recently with RROD.

200 degrees is required temp to resync everything back to normal as xav said and it wont dirty your oven if you take the whole board out of the box and use a baking tray.....

just if you own an xbox orginal they just die in the end they never last getting years out of them is an achivement really . the elites arnt much better either cause all they did to change them is slightly adapted the heat sync to a diffrent shape an stuck anougher fan in there right in front of the other fan whats does fuck alll.... if you want an xbox to last the newer ones they just releaced are the way forward i gunna get one of those bad boys when i have the cash.
