I swear it worked before.

If I start up through the main launcher, I get a gray screen and then it closes without further resolve. Placed Xav's dll file (even though I have XP), didn't work.

If I start up through the JK2MP.exe file, it crashes with error message 'Could not load OpenGL subsystem'.

Standard Windows XP, 32-bit. What do?

Make a single map in Lucas Arts Install at administrator, en open it before u gonna play at administrator.

Tried running single player?(perhaps as admin)

Locate "jk2mpconfig.cfg" in the base directory, open in notepad.

Find seta r_fullscreen "1" and change to seta r_fullscreen "0"

Let me know how these goes. Just throwing out a lot of fixes.

If you have an ATI card it's because the latest drivers don't support this game anymore, amongst others(Think it might be OpenGL games they don't support, can't remember.)

Nah, its the same method he used before and this error goes back to 2002 and up today, but you're partially right about the drivers though. They fucked up the OpenGL after CCC 10.4, even softwares from Adobe got corrupted by it.

Does JK2 require a strong graphics card? Otherwise I could bring the laptop with me and play it on that, as a back up (if the latest ATI drivers don't work on the regular PC).

Nah, jk2 doesn't require much. My six year old laptop runs it pretty good.

My old NVIDIA GeForce FX5500 could handle it well, lol

it might be your gpu tbh i had the same problem along time ago witha computer i had xp on when they GPU starts to burn out JK2 just stops running for some reason .

also updateing your gpu on a reg is a must as new patches come out and your graphics card if doesnt have these newer folders decides that it doesnt wanna play updates are a must!. also if you have any update on your system such as framework and bla bla they commonly go wrong after install if you back date your computer before any system changing items and try again you might be succesful.

Installed new drivers, put the mode to windowed on small resolution, no dice.

Starts up, I see a window box, then the game inexplicably reverts to fullscreen, first black, then gray, crash and the same OpenGL error.

Fresh reinstall, crashes with a Visual Studio Just In Time Debugger error.

Updated the game, SP crashes with VS JIT, MP crashes after gray loading without error message.

Dudes.. What the hell does this mean? I installed the game and it works fine no problem, but when I try to get a new server list or refresh it won't work. Tried to open the game in safe mode (whatever it does) but it still doesn't work. What do I do?

It might be my copy, so I'm torrenting a new ISO.
