Anyway, to keep this post at least somewhat on topic (I need Karma), I'm downloading it. Review (Boomlala-style) coming up.

Actually there wasn't much to review.

You get thrown in medias res, and you see 2 soldiers walking through a forest killing other soldiers. At the end the soldiers get killed by the SUPREME NAZI ARMI OF MORDOR! You see, he is wearing a black jacket. If you see a black jacket nazi in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, you run away. Because you know you ain't gonna survive it without being a panzernoob.

The story doesn't really matter, it is more of an ambient movie. The music doesn't feel out of place, but it isn't my favorite genre. Wether the film is historically correct, I can only guess. I don't know much about weaponry from those days, or clothing of armies, but I do think a fluorescent black jacket isn't very good for forest-based fights. Maybe I'm wrong.

The 'effects' are pretty good, except for the frag genade. That was hilariously bad, hehe. Scary thing, when the SUPREME NAZI ARMY OF MORDOR shoots Allied Soldier #2, there is some 'blood' going from his forehead. I have rewatched it a few times, but I can't see any special things there, so that's either very nice effects hiding, or real blood.

Also, I see no coherent reason behind the title 'Soldier Side'. Then again, I don't really care. It's a pretty short movie, but I think if you made it longer it would grow stale.

"I'm stuck/lost with my buddy in a forest I've never been, the rest of the company is dead, I know its filled with enemy soldiers, but also know there will be coming allied forces through here sooner or later. I WOULD have hope. If you don't have hope you might as well shoot your self.

Hehe thanks for a decent review of it anyways, always nice with critique whether bad or good.

I doubt there is any historical correctness to it, as the entire script was made after just 1 hour and some of it is also cut out from a larger script we are currently working on. I had a dead line of 15 hours to make it or I wouldn't get a A in the study so everything is feeling rushed.

About the jacket;
Its a very old German raincoat, its not as shiny as it appears in the film, its just from the bad exposure settings I made on the camera and the color editing after wards.

About the frag;
I totally follow you on that one, explosions are hard and time consuming to make good looking and time was a factor I sadly did not have(been thinking of re-editing it).

The headshot;
This is composed of particles rendered in After Effects, it is also very time consuming, but I wanted this shot to be a bit more detailed. If I had more time, I would also make the particles "reach the grass" and "stick to it." Another lucky thing about the shot is the helmet and how it bounces backwards. Its a coincidence that adds a tiny bit of realism in my opinion.

I'm surprised no one has yet discovered the BIGGEST flaw in this movie. I'll post a image later if you are interested.

Oh and about the res, theres a 50 Mb limit on the storage device so thats why. The original footage and finished composition is 1920x1080 De-interlaced.

Anyways, this is a HUGE error and epic fail, this is a NO-NO when it comes to films. Mistakes like this could get you into trouble when you are dealing with real jobs.

I believe that is a gym shoe and a major flaw xD

I remember there was this Egyptian-themed movie (pharaos and stuff) where in one shot the pharaoh is clearly wearing a silver watch.

I heard someone in LOTR also has a gold watch and a car is visible in one scene.
