Msn help! Empty Msn help!

Post by *Hule* Tue May 27, 2008 6:20 am

My msn keeps logging me out itself with no reason, quite frequently. Does anyone have a clue what that's about?

My Internet connection is fine, no other errors have occured. No notification appears, it just goes away and starts logging me in again.

1. Check your msn folder for spyware and other shit
2. go to www.messengerfx.com => this is an online messenger, see if it still logs you out there
3. is your hard disk maybe full? or almost full? => if yes => delete some
4. if nothing of this helps => Reinstall msn

To check your space hule

Got my computer > right click on C drive > hit properties

You should see a diagram with blue and pink where blue is occupied and pink is free.

But try Sander's advice, see if the online messenger logs you out as well.

Doesn't seem to log me out from the online messenger. Anyway it doesn't log me out all the time in the normal one, either.

I'd also erase some of the WLM's data folder for your personal profile.

Some users on forums suggest you turn the firewall down, and one user suggested that you should change the password as it worked great for him.

Just try it

It doesn't log me out that often anymore, though. Where can I change my pass? Presumambly it's somewhere in the hotmail e-mail account options as it is the address and password that is used for msn, too. Right?

yes You can change your pass in your hotmail. If you have Windows Live hotmail > its on the right side.

Goto you account as Tey says, click on your email account and a menu show up.

Click on "show account" or "display account" mine is in Norwegian so I cant give a too accurate statement on that. Its the choice on the top.

Now on the left you will now have "Account Details"

"Preferences" or "Setup" something like that

Second choice from the top down.

On that page it will display your name and etc...

Under "Account Security"

Click on "Password"

Type old password and enter new one.

Ok.. this is great. I changed my password and now it doesn't log me in my e-mail nor my msn. I'm sure it's correctly written, they just don't recognise it.

Could it take some time before it becomes valid? Although I got once in my Msn with the new password, but after that - none.

Ideas? >.>

Edit: Ok now it works, at least temporary. I'll let you know if it starts to not work again.
