That makes sense, to be honest. xD But to me the correct way of playing is fully enjoying it. Cool
I might try that speedrun out sometime, though.

I think that the most useless place in OoT is the Gerudo Thieves' hideout. It was annoying and overall useless. xD
But still I didn't mind playing it.

By the way, do I find the 'power gloves' that can lif hell of weights in the hideout, or in the Spirit Temple?

You get the Silver Gauntlets as child and Mirror Shield as grown up, both after defeating Iron Knuckles.

And the Theives Hideout isn't completely useless, it lets you take the Gerudo Training ground to get the Ice arrow and you can get a upgraded Quiver if you manage to score 1500 at the Bow range.

Ah, it all starts making sense now... 'Cause now that I think back to it, I have to go to the temple as a child. But where do I learn the melody that leads me to the entrance? Suspect

On second thought, don't answer. I'll figure it out myself. Very Happy

You know what, I'm gonna move this topic to Chat Room under a new headline. Finally we have an own topic about Zelda. Cool
I'm genius.

Moved.

I finished the Spirit Temple yesterday, it fealt very short as you had to complete it both in past and in the future. The boss was awessome, I just had to figure out the way. Which wasn't that complicated.
Now I only have the Ganon's Castle left. It was so hard last time.. Neutral

I prefer completing the temples in a slight different way then the original.

Forest, Fire, Water, Spirit and Shadow last.

Simply because thats the right alignment of the sages.

Hehe you were stuck in the game Hule Razz you could have asked me too >_>.

OMFG GUYS did you forgot me into the Zelda fans team? I'm too a fan too >.< !

(Even if i never finished Majoras Mask)

Unfortunatly i don't think any Zelda are going to exist on xbox360 Razz i'll just steal a wii when the next zelda comes out...

I have a question for you fans of Zelda o_o :
You see i'm in love with Twilight Princess, it was a very impressive zelda for me....and i appreciate games with good graphism...but somewhere, i still love more Ocarina of times...even if i cba playing the N64 anymore (when you are used to xbox360, the PS1 or N64 graphisms make your eyes red >_>...)

SO WHY DO I PREFER OCARINA OF TIMES??? the story of twilight is nice too no? Sad

Lol, it's just a matter of taste man. Wink

A story of one game can be nice (eg: TP), but the story of another game (eg: OoT) can be nicer.

Examples were purely random btw. (A)

EDIT: And of course, the good old nostalgy!

Xavior the number 3 isn't visible in the picture for me. But how do you complete the Spirit Temple before the Shadow Temple? You need the Lens of Truth, as well as you need (or may find pretty handy) the hover boots to get to the Spirit temple.
So do you just get the lens from the bottom of the well and head to the Desert Colossus in Graveyard's stead?
I might just do that the next time. Very Happy

Kenshin, how could I forget about your Zelda -fanity? You had an awessome Link as your avatar on the previous forums. =D
About how come you prefer OoT to TP, that's simply a matter of taste. You see, graphics don't make a good game as you might've noticed while playing the good old N64 games.

Personally I LOOOOVE OoT because it brings so much good memories and offers a heavenly music experience. But the smoothness of the gameplay and graphics in TP make it nearly as good experience as OoT.
Actually I find it too hard to pick the best game.

Seems like we're in the same boat with Ken-boy, as neither of us has completed Majora's Mask. I'm almost there, though. One temple to go accoring to Zavehor.
I just would like to gather more masks because I heard they would make the last boss way easier than it would be without them.

Edit: And Xavior, how do you know the right alignment of the Sages? Suspect

I think you still are a little shit. Wink

Windwaker is different, it has a completely different feeling in it than the other Zeldas. The sea-traveling was a nice idea, although a bit annoying if you don't figure out how to teleport.
Also despite the teleporting ability, it still is annoying when you have to search for the golder forks or whatever seamaps or something.

Well TP wasn't hard, either. The N64 games have only been hard for me, that was when I played them the first time.
When you remember how to beat everything it's not hard anymore, and in spite of the fact that it loses a bit of its excitement, it turns into a great way of entertainment. Cool

Graphics means nothing in the Zelda series, Of course it can touch the game up a bit, but I can't care less about it.

Ocarina of Time has the best story from any other Zelda I've played. And the rest of the worlds seems to agree with me:

http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrankings/simpleratings.asp?rankings=y

The "crappy" n64 is still competing with the todays games. And so far I'm waiting for something with a caliber to take it down to 2nd.

Theres no specific alignment, but I use logic.

Look at the sages placements:

You start with the Light at the top, move to forest on the right, move to fire, move to water, jump over spirit, move to shadow, go back to spirit. And then Rauru(AKA sage of light) talks too you again. I don't see the logic in breaking a perfect circle of sages like that and therefore take the spirit temple first.

I go fetch the Lens Of Truth right after the forest temple.

haha you must be right guys Razz even if I'm fond of graphism, it seems like the Zelda go through this ^^

I love the humour, musics and creatures, I guess i'd need another zelda to calm down lol...

PS: yea hule, about Majoras Mask, i just dislike the 3 days count down >.>...and the fact that once you have finished a temple, it's not really finished, since everytime you comeback it is shit again o_o...
I was on the boss of the 3rd temple (the big fish) and i just gave up because i don't like to hurry when i play zelda Razz
Too bad...It would be a very nice zelda without that..

Those were exactly my thoughts at first, too. But after the system comes familiar to you it's pure perfection, mate.

You can slow the time down remarkably which makes the three days last more than enough. Once you find the save point around a certain temple you can restart the three days over again and return to it with Song of Soaring.
So as Xavior guided me when I was a noob in that game - You've got three days to find the temple and three days to complete it.

It's brilliant. And when you mentioned that the temple is shit again when you complete it and travel back in time - it's true that it's undone, but you have the mask which you need and that's what makes the temple completed. Besides, because the temple becomes uncompleted all over again you can complete the boss as many times as you want. That's clever. Very Happy

And Xavior, that really makes sense that the perfect order is cut if the Shadow Temple is completed first. I still don't care about that much. xD
But think about it this way: Maybe there is a completely logical reason for the order to be interfered, a reason that isn't told in the game but has to be learned elsewhere.. xD

If so I haven't found it xD

The three day system is brilliant, most of the reasons Hule have already stated.

The 3 day system is Major's mask unique method of story telling.

by doing this you can give the NPC's schedules, Stuff will happen at specific times and NPC won't be randomly standing running around doing nothing.
