Strange ass virus..

I'm really amazed how I got this one, since I didn't use my comp for 2 weeks. I still got one.
It's a trojan that affects all my media-files. So it blocks my music, My norton detected it 1 time. But couldn't delete it ... So I tried deleting ALL my mp3's (which are like 10 gig) But couldn't delete cause they all were being "used" by the trojan ofcourse..
I scanned my comp, and shutted the comp down, cause I had to go. So 1 week later I returned and still I couldn't play any music. It just refuses, and norton doesn't spot anything. So now I'm installing SpyDoctor, see what he can do >_> my comp needs drugs.

I use avast.
when I get a trojan horse I just press "Delete"
it deletes the song and the virus.
it never troubles me again.

my avg seems have dealed with everything for me.

And dem if you have read some articles about this you would know that you get this by downloading mp3 from others via p2p network sharing, piracy.

I'd see that format is the best choise to come. Would need one myself any time soon.

But it doesn't matter how I got it, that doesn't solve anything. I'm looking for a solution, except formatting.

It infects mp3, wma and wmv.

All the article says is keep your AV up to date to prevent infection.

Well, first i wasn't scanning.
I started my comp up, was like doing normal stuff, and I wanted to listen some music. So I started WMP 11, and just clicked a random song, cba. Then it couldn't play the song, as if it was removed from the comp (a red cross apears in front of the song). Then I just clicked other songs, but none worked. So I checked if they were in the folder where I put my mp3's and stuff. They were all there, and I clicked on one, and it didn't work. THEN a pop-up came from Norton, that there was a Trojan. I clicked on details, and it said it was infected on 2 mp3 songs I had, and a browsercache or something. ... I'm like what the hell? And well, the more minutes, the more infections on the mp3's wma's and all my music... Now none of my music worked.
So I scanned, and didn't find anything.
Scanned with Spyware doctor, which I thought was good enough (but xav says only for spyware which is totaly obvious)
And that one deleted some spyware, and cookies.
Now I have avast also, scanned everything. Found nothing. Still running the On-Acces scanner.
So basicly.
It detected it before scanning.

You don't have to scan to detect a virus. Any idea what form of trojan it is? There are lots of programs on the internet designed to specifically get rid of one type of virus. Many of them are simple batch files etc. If you know exactly what trojan it is then you may be able to find a program to combat it. It worked on mine, where AVG/Norton/Avast all failed.
