Oblivion Playthrough
Hey Hey, Deus Legio.
This is a concept of a forum game I came up with, and I wanted to discuss it here. Members of Cold/Holy probably heard of the Oblivion Playthrough before, but it is different. The old concept was me telling a story whilst playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (being a mix of a diary and a blog). The new concept is the same as the old one, but this time, instead of me making decisions, the public does.
This concept requires an signifcant group of active people, something the Holy forum (where the old concept was hosted) can't give me unfortunately. Since I've always been at friendly (or so they think... ) terms with Deus Legio, and since they have quite an activity resume full of friendly people, I thought this forum would be an excellent place.
The interactivity part of my concept goes like this: I ask the public a question with answers X, Y, Z, A, B, ... etc etc (in the form of a poll, or sometimes counted manually), and based on the results, I play through Oblivion, following the public's "orders". I will do this twice a week (wednesday and in the weekends) so it will have a steady supply of posts (not with gaps of activity) and enough time for the public to vote. There will also be supernice screenshots (1680*1050, highest settings) and possibly videos.
Now, there are ofcourse some administrative issues. First of all, is it okay if I use this concept on this forum? It may be seen as a form of "excessive off-topic banter", and I want to be sure the moderators/councillers/administrators are okay with this. Second question: would the M/C/A (Young man! There is a place you can go. I said, young man! When you're short on dough. You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find many ways to have a good time. It's fun to stay at the...) be so friendly to give a subforum? This is in no condition a need, but hey, it's fun to have a nice division where I can post my stuff. Ofcourse, I understand that if you would permit one guy to have his own forum (in a way) that everyone else would want it aswell, etc etc. No bad feelings then. If I get my own forum, it would also be nice to have local moderation there. Not necessary at all, just handy, and I would completely understand if that wouldn't go through.
So yeah, think about it. I'm sure this new concept is gonna be succesful, and people are gonna like it.
Discuss as long as you need, and let me know if you have worked it out and decided on something.
With truest regards,
Boomlala

Re: Oblivion Playthrough
If you do nothing but play a game non-stop for 24 hours straight you are hopeless...And if you take your time to beat it its worth it that way you didnt waste 60 bucks on it nib.

Re: Oblivion Playthrough
Oblivion should not be played as a FPS, but as a RPG.
Immers yourself into the realm, don't haste your way throughout it.

Oblivion costs like 15 pounds here which is like 30bucks...
And if you play it JUST for achievements then im so sorry but that is just so fucking sad.
