In some fora you can't edit your post after X replies after your post.
Dunno about this one though.

EDIT:
Pancakes, no use in saying it here since and admin will usually read it much later.
Get some DL's on Xfire and you can tell it to them easily.

PS: Now this is one of the few times I use edit. lol

you can always edit your posts, just u cant delete them when somebody replies.

not much use to edit them when somebody posts after that because the person won't have a clue if you replied to him/her

i know, thats why i dont edit em when some1 posts lol XD
