Guitar Solo Empty Guitar Solo

Post by Boomlala Sat Jan 03, 2009 8:07 am

I have yet to find a guitar solo which is more technically advanced as this one. He does everything: plectrum, no plectrum, chord progression, hammer-ons, double hammer-ons, some shit I've never seen before, flamenco style picking.

Van Halen doesn't have shit on him.

Not bad at all, very good actually.
But still, the technical complexity isn't the decisive matter in a solo. It's how it sounds. Some of my favourite solos are quite simple, yet the most amazing I've encountered this far.

Of course that sounded excellent, too, but I'm saying that it doesn't have to be complicated to be very nice. ^^

Read what I wrote/

I have yet to find a guitar solo which is more technically advanced as this one.

I know that solo's don't need to be technical to be good (although I do prefer technical ones).

Boomlala I know. Just wanted to point out my opinion, I didn't say you claimed the opposite.

I was telling the others, who seemed to think I said it was the best solo ever (musically speaking), which I find not true.

But on a technical level, I never saw such a solo before.
