Why bespin?

Its the without competition the most played map in Jk2. Any1 knows why?

cuz it's a not so big map so u can find players etc easy if u compare whit the other maps..

and the map got some nice ffa/duel places to (;

1. not a heavy map for any computer
2. has plenty of space but at the same time becuz of its geometry every1 can go from one place to another in secs and sees the biggest part of the map all the time (no corridors, close rooms etc) so its easy for one player to find others and at the same time to go somewhere else
3 its a default map so when a restart occurs it wil go bespin or generally when u change map the first thing that comes in ur mind is bespin
4. the map by itself is so complete meanly that it has so many different battle points close the one to another. Roof, pad, streets, bridges, even more closed places with open corridors
4. all teh above make it a great place for both dueling and ffa in so many places
5. the fact that we have get use to this map (force of habbit)
6. what, u want another reason? arent they enough?

Firstly it's the default map so admins are lazy to change it.Prolly cuz of it's classic design.Bespin is a very good map,people dont like it just cuz they get used to it,but I still love bespin a lot,a lot of dueling places and a middle sized map

Because of the smaller size of the map, it isnt a long distance to walk if you died in an ffa. In death star you'll have to travel half the map to get to the most common FFA - area (the hanger... with the big blue screen for everyone who doesnt know where the hanger is...).

Ok. Everybody have right. This is nice small map but now its boring. Very. So maybe we write some link to some custom map to download it. And this map can be on server. Thats can be fun and nice. But it is only my idea.

If you use a custom map all the time it kills your server popularity.

so true. best is havin bespin most of the times an changin to one or two more existing in game maps (not custom ones) to relieve the monotony
