The Da Vinci Code Empty The Da Vinci Code

Post by Storm Sun Oct 25, 2009 5:45 pm

I'm reading it again, now when Dan Brown (the author) is releasing his newest roman, The Lost Symbol

It has a lot to do about The Holy Grail, Maria Magdalena, Da Vinci, "The Last Supper", which is painted by Leonardo Da Vinci (see below)

It is explained in the novel that the figure to the left of Jesus is not the apostle John, but actually Mary Magdalene.
She is the actual Holy Grail and is the wife of Jesus Christ and was pregnant with his child when he was crucified.
Notice how Jesus is wearing a red blouse with royal blue cape and John/Mary wears a royal blue blouse with red cape
It is inverted colors - symbolizing two bonded halves of marriage.

Their body angles also form the letter M, a reference to the Magdalene.

Holy Grail ... San Gréal (Holy Grail) ... Sang Réal (Royal Blood) - Jesus' blood in the form of the child that Magdalena is carrying!

Other things worth noticing:
* A mystery knife pointed at one of the characters
* Jesus is confronted by an admonishing hand to his right making “the John gesture,” an index finger pointing up.
* Leonardo da Vinci himself is in the painting with his face pointing away from Jesus

I need to read the DaVinci code, seems bloody interesting.
I started listening to it from a CD, an audio novel you can borrow from the library. It was interesting but I'd preferably read it.

Dan Browns' books r quite interesting and i enjoy them since they make u want to continue reading them. Its that the plot is usually taking place in a period of 2-3 days and the pace of action is fast.
Da Vinci code was the first one i read from him.
And good books are usually better than movies
