why is photoshop so f' ing expensive? i always thought it was the kind of thing u could buy at a store for like 50 bucks but when i got on the website cd5 is like 900 dollars.

Because it's a good professional program, man. We amateurs who just like to have fun with it have to go with the cheaper versions or download it illegally lol.

Because Adobe is a money-grabbing whore who charges for handjobs.

Adobe products are used by proffesional companies, which is why the program is so expensive. Plus there is a high demand of the product which allows them to set the price tag to anything they like.
