So i like to watch everything in HD pic.
My GOM player started to behavie weird. It lags compressed mkv files but it didn't few weeks back. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!???!!
I reinstalled GOM...i removed all codecs from my comp and installed fresh ones (only ones GOM asked me to install) and still i get lagged picture.
ok com geeks...try to solve this one!
p.s. dont ask me for my comp specs couz its still very much above average computer.

Re: GOM player - .mvk lag
1. Maybe it's just your graphics driver? Get the latest version.
2. Check in task manager to see if anything is using loads of CPU or memory while playing the video.
3. Are you using XP? Sometimes I find that the HDD controller can switch mode to PIO which makes the system dog slow. Check the device manager for that.
4. You could always try Zoom player I heard it plays HD .mkv files with no problems

Re: GOM player - .mvk lag
Done any recent changes prior to time they started to lag?
Like Shad I'd also recommend another player, at least to check if the issue occurs elsewhere than GOM, as he said, Zoom player, MPCHC or VLC should be good testing candidates.
Latest ATi driver together with latest VLC also gives you a great GPU acceleration support.

Re: GOM player - .mvk lag
i downloaded Zoom. I had no problems playing the file. I set it only to open mvk files.
p.s. i have the latest version of GOM. actually I have everything on my comp with the latest version...I'm consistent with that.
Imma wait for a new GOM version....
