Re: Xavior
Sorry mates to bump this thread.. But
Secondly, there's nothing wrong with a swastika really. As far as I know it's a lucky symbol used in numerous places and contexts WAY before Hitler took it and adapted it to represent his nazi -move. Even the Finnish air forcec used it, although in a different angle, before it was taken by Hitler.
What's wrong with swastika is that it is connected to Hitler everywhere we see them, and thus it becomes bad and inaproppriate.
In my opinion, swastika, the common lucky symbol with a very long past, should be made temporal and taken into everyday use. Perhaps this way, in time, the 'bad shadow' hanging on it could be erased and its true meaning brought to light again.
Yea sorry, this was TOTALLY off-topic. So please continue..
edit: fixed
First of all, I think thats' from a video clip/movie -sort of thing he was making back then or something. Don't believ he'd wear a swastika as you seem to know it in his sleeve.Torres wrote:Wow! A Swastika. U have some nerve m8

Re: Xavior
I totally agree with you, ofcourse when you see it in the white circle in a red square (as in the picture) you can say it refers to Nazi.. but I don't find it any offensive if I come across it.. It IS still a symbol of luck. ;O

Re: Xavior
I thought they were illegal pretty much everywhere. Or atleast highly frowned upon. Maybe I'm wrong though.
And please, someone tell me wether I should write "frowned" or "frown" upon?? xD

I actually don't think so. I do think the police may see it as 'gang activity' (neo-nazi's) or 'instigating trouble' and arrest you on that basis.
But the symbol itself should be legal (otherwise Hindu's and Jianists would have trouble).

I thought it was illegal for the same reason as the "hitler wave" and denying the holocaust.

Re: Xavior
The Hitler greet isn't ambiguous though. There are no other organisations using that.
And Holocaust denial is indeed illegal.

Re: Xavior
Didn't the Romans use the Hitler greet while saying "Ave"?

Re: Xavior
Yes, but Romans (as in, part of the classical civilizations) don't exist anymore, unlike Hindu's and Jianists.
