Problem!

My friend is having problems with internet browsers such as firefox and IE

{TLJ}Brisk{L}: and i went on my browser
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: all of a sudden
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: internet explorer opened a milion tabs
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: and crashed itself.
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: and then i got disco'd from xfire
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: couldn't connect for like
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: 20 minutes
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: so i restart my pc
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: i log in
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: and there's no explorer.exe cmd
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: so i made it myself.
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: and now
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: on my taskbar
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: next to the time
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: there's 2 icons
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: that keep saying
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: Windows Antivirus
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: has detected spyware
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: click here to sort out this problem
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: i clicked on it
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: and it sent me to some site
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: said download this
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: i didnt.
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: and now they won't go away.
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: and my browser isn't working.
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: only Bookmarks / Favourites open up
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: Firefox AND Internet Explorer are doing this.
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: oh
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: so i ran my norton
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: it scanned
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: and found
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: 18 Trojan things
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: backdoor's n what not
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: it said it fixed it
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: but it only came up with 6 fixed.
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: and now i keep getting pop ups
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: saying
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: Your computer is making unauthorised copies of your Files
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: ...
{TLJ}Brisk{L}: so yea that's pretty much it.

you need an antivirus and anti spyware :S. Or do windows restore from system tool's from the point that it was okay.

AVG anti virus and Search and Destroy anti spyware

System restore isn't working he's got 1 system restore point but it says windows can't rollback that point.

thats 1 evil virus!

i agree... just tell him to make a backup of his realy important files.. check them with antivirus and all the other needed and make it as clean as possible and then move to a format...
and be more careful next time

Just tell him to stop doing what he did before the thing happened.

18 Trojans doesn't get there by them selves.
