Morrowind

Since KOTOR is broken (the CD has some corrupted data so I'm gonna buy a new copy of the game over Steam), I decided to kill some time with Morrowind today.

My god, that game is jaw dropping. If you look past the blocky characters and their funny walking habit, that game is beautiful. Not in the realistic, technical sense of Oblivion (which I found beautiful aswell), but more... artistic, impressionist, elevating. The great music helps with that either.

I was out there grabbing mushrooms for the Mages Guild at some swamp (novice assignment), and suddenly it started raining, the clouds came in, I saw a mudcrab hiding for the rain in his shell (coincidental animation, probably), and I had a feeling I never had with Oblivion: immersion.

I haven't played much of KOTOR yet (reached the Lower City before the game started really screwing up), but it's gonna be hard to beat Morrowind.

I stopped AION...im so bored with elfs, mages and dwarfs. I wnat to start with dragon age: origins...but im afraid its the same shit.

KOTOR owns that's true. You should play it as heck as soon as you can

Dragon Age is a real, hardcore RPG in the style of Baldur's Gate and KotOR. Its story is great and took me 26 hours to complete. And that's only the main quest, mind you. Every decision you make has an actual impact on the game, not just the old and boring "evil vs good". And it's got some of the best damn music:
