It's a F2P (free-to-play) fps. There are different modes, for example normal elimination which is two teams head to head first to a kill limit (usually 140). Another mode I like to play as well is called fireteam which itself holds 4 other modes; two of them are zombie based where you are supposed to hold an area for a number of rounds and kill all zombies.

What's really fun is that it's REALLY HARD to level up, there are 55 levels and I'm only 27 after roughly 1,200 hours recorded on Xfire. http://en.combatarms.nexoneu.com/NXEU.aspx?PART=/Guide/RankRequirement

Another thing that some may find annoying (not me) is that you can buy "NX" for real money which is an in-game currency which lets you buy "better" weapons and gear. In my opinion this depends since what actually matters in the end is personal skill. I sometimes play with the most underpowered weapon in the game because it's fun and as long as you hit headshots you don't need "better" weapons. Very Happy

Played Combat Arms withs some friends of mine a while ago. Also A.V.A (Alliance of Valiance Arms). Looks a little the same.
