Lies but k.
Xav, on this point...
I know ...........
If you looked closely I said that. You modem if configured to receive the IP from you. Technically its not chosen by you, its chosen by the modem, you just give it the order to change. It releases the ip and picks up a random one from your areas network pool IF one is available at that time. If you want full control, you have to do the previous and set a static one which might not work unless you know the range and which is in use.
Now, Emilio. You say router, but I need to ask this; is this router connected directly to the outlet? or is it connected to another "box"?(modem)

Re: IP Address Change (Fail)
guys.. stop all you're technical bullshit, acting like you know, if you set your IP to be set automattically, it changes at a certain time, and re-configures on the next bootup, and you dont choose your IP, unless you have it set to manual, your ISP does.
getting back on topic.
here's what i want you to do. type ipconig /all in cmd, print screen, edit with paint and cover physical adress, and then post the screenie.

Nice little quote pyramid we've got here. To give a feeling of on-topicness, my PC is the only good one in the house (also the only one without viri and trojans), and everybody wants to be on it.
