Ibanez guitar Empty Ibanez guitar

Post by lone Wed Nov 03, 2010 12:55 pm

I got this flyer from a music store in my mailbox.
They're selling 200 Ibanez RGT6EXFX guitars for 229. Previously priced 699. (link to review)
I mean like that's a HUGE price difference and they must be making terrible losses on them.
I've been wanting to buy a new electrical guitar for years but I never had this guitar in mind. It's more of a metal type guitar which I don't play very much. Not that I'm not into metal, but I play more blues and old rock.
But then again: it's fucking cheap, best value for money ever and I'm a poor bastard cause I'm too lazy to work.

Does anyone know anything about the guitar in question? Should I get it solely cause I can get it so cheap?

It's a good guitar for it's price.. but if you are gonna play blues/old school rock.. DON'T buy a guitar with active pickups.. if i were you i'd say save the money for a Jackson DK2/DK2M.. now that is good guitars for any kind of style, althought they are "a bit" more expensive than that ibanez Wink

lol haven't been on for ages btw, sup `?^^

Joel has it. If you want rock/blues, buy a guitar with passive pickups or single coil Cool

I don't really want to spend all my money on a guitar. This one is just hugely underpriced in that store. I don't know about the pickups but I think the guitar in the store has double humbuckers. I only saw it in the folder and it just says Ibanez RG. But there's so many types of RG. -.- I'll go see in the store.
Thanks for the tip on the pickups!

DL is pretty much the same as always. People coming by to talk about nothing =p

Just came from the music store.
It did have active pickups. Not to mention it was quite ugly, so I didn't get it.
Sucks cause I really wanted a guitar and I can't afford one.

no soz.
I play some stuff from Jimmy Hendrix, Mark Knopfler (Dire straits), The Rolling Stones, etc. a bit of metal like Atreyu. And I recently started playing some slide blues.
I never really did any lessons. I'm just learning on the internet.
