Console problem

ok, My extension on my house is almost finished and its gonna be like an entertainment room
but i dont know which console to get
im stuck between choice of a ps3 and xbox 360 (ive got a wii)
ive already had a 360 before, it was only the core one and it kept freezing on me and i was that impressed with
but ive been looking at the elite, and it looks alot better faster, cooler and more space
the only thing that i dont like about 360 is xbox live. In 4/5 years i could have bought an other xbox with the money that is spen on xbox live.

well ive been looking into it again and people just slag it off so much, i dont know whether theyre jealous and they cant afford it or whether it just sucks. the reviews arent good either. But its the king of all consoles when it comes to media. it also hasnt reaced its full potential with games. also you can play free online n stuff. people dont say the games are as good tho wich is a big problem.
also dont make comments about the price coz i can afford eaither one.

plus its 1080p support wich is good for the tv im getting

Well, I'd personally go for the 360, I think it has better games, and I don't have a HDTV so idc about 1080p.

BTW just do what I and Xris do, make every month a new gold account, you'll get one month free. ^.^

And: The 360 never froze on me etc, just make sure it stays cool.

I strongly advice you to go for a playstation 3 purely for the fact that it is a entertainment room and you get a good blue-ray player. And if your TV is bigger then 40"

and your right xav, its just not for gaming. it also plays alot of formats from blu ray to cd rom

Plasma screen?

Just a guess considering ho cheap plasma are at those sizes compared with LCD.

I prefer using projectors rather then TV's at sizes over 50 =)

no its lcd, yea there is a big price difference
but we cant get plasma because its is gonna be very light in the room at day time

You should invest in some really good curtains, no light gets through.

2 Layers, white on the side facing the window and black on the other side.

lcd have a longer life time
and also plasmas can burn the image on the screen sometimes

yeah thats right, but Plasma has a prettier image, some screens of this gen-LCD's can look just as good though

I have the arcade xbox 360, Its never fucked up on me, only once, it overheated.
Games are good but because Im used to ps3 im more used to smaller controllers and 360 feels weird.

Ps3 online is free but Live isnt, both are basically the same to me.
PS3 has more new games that are cool, Mgs4, versus 13 soon + some 360 games that are good, like COD4, Oblivion, DMC4 and others.

Ps3 isnt as noisy...well i dont think.

But its basically your taste in consoles, if you prefer heavier controllers and lots of games and 120 gb then go for 360 elite.

If you prefer not havin to pay for online, smaller controllers and less games then ps3 is the game for you....doesnt really matter about what gb, I have 40 and i have like 15 left, the operating system takes up some space to start with.

I like both but I play ps3 more.

theyre more sophisticated due to media
i think ill get the 60gb one
it has sd card memory stick and flash card slots wich would be helpful for me.
plus more memory lol

No they pulled the Backward compatibility one off the shelf and as far as I know they dont plan on fixing it

Well the "war" between these 2 has kinda end and the winner was Sony's blue ray
