if you spot somebody, that means they can spot you. act fast kill and relocate.
the only time i would observe a player/s is if i am sniping, as which i pick my shots.

+ i would bet money on that you dont lay back following and watching players untill you finally realise that your getting no kills. so you decide to pretend that person is the 'biggest threat' even though any of the team can kill you from across the map.

and of cause! if there is a dude with a shotgun round the corner your focus on him..but if you observe him your'll get knifed in the back.

(maybe thats what xbox players do.. observe.. thats why everygame i played round my friends house i came 1st with 40+ kills...)

even in longe range if you can see them they can see you..even the ghillie suits can be spotted so easily.. i mean <_< its not even the same colour as the grass, and a moving bush ye not going to notice it.

m8.. u have a range of 360 degrees... and im talking about horizontal axis only.. no height involved... a player has an angle that can see.. teh what u see in ur screen so u cant possible watch all 360 dregrees at once....
that way osme1 can take u down w/o u even see him if he is in the angle u dont currently see...
also including all the map obstacles that r a lot in the cod4 u can guess what makes the difference...

i'm on about if there facing the same way, or if you spot them in your scope, usually it looks like there aiming at you aswell (because they usually are) in that case its a matter of whoever fires first.

the one that knows where his opponent is (has a basic idea) has a small advantage
the one that spots him first has teh advantage (time)
then the faster the reflexes and the better the aim is another parameter
also luck of the gun while firing bullets, ping differences (and high values), and generally uncontrolled things is also another one

Lag on cod is the worst ^.^

im a different player while i play online with ping 100-150
at LAN i can enjoy real game... ping < 30

lol if you see somebody, then they can see you, even if there facing the other way, if they turn around, they can see you? think outside the box.. people can turn around and they dont always face to oppasite direction.

If you prone the chances of them spotting you are low if you lie still(depending ont he terrain, especially at distance.
