lol jim that is a stupid research u should not follow. of course you can choose to be hetero (if ur a gay) but u will be miserable ur whole life and eventually regret it.

in my opinion...being homosexual has to do something with brains. Some chemical issues that are different from heterosexual's. Maybe how your senses work on people (smell mostly).

It is not environmental issue im sure. Also i think gays evolve better artistic and similar skills (DaVinci, designers, etc.). They fucking succeed quicker regarding career they choose and focus on.

You develop gay feelings, it isnt anything to do with the brain.

I didnt say that.

Im not gay.

But if you were ill for about almost 2 months, youd realise Hollyoaks has interesting storylines.

And one storyline happened to be about a Boy, who had a girlfriend but as time wore on he began to develop gay feelings for his friend.

Debate: Gay Marriage - Page 3 Empty Re: Debate: Gay Marriage

Post by daryo Fri Nov 07, 2008 12:44 pm

so how do you explain cross-gender people.

for example a small boy (aged 4) wanting everything that girls have and do (and i mean everything from clothing to talking) all at early age as 4. And at 7 boy says: "i'm a girl in a boy's body." (I watched a documentary few years ago)

I agree that puberty can confuse a lot of teens but eventually you get what you are (i mean sexual orientation because we are all human after all). The problem is...do you accept your self for what you are or do you repress it, start hating it and with that start hating yourself and others similar to you (probably like few major leaders in the history of mankind) causing intolerance and denying human rights to others.

I'm not saying homosexuality is genetic...that would mostly mean passing it from generation to generation LOL, no.
But it is something natural to the world (animals and humans). And i still believe it has a lot to do with biology.

In kindergarten, I once had to choose between something mainly aimed for boys (I can't remember it anymore) or violet nail painting for girls (I can't find the mot juste): I don't know why, but I chose the latter.

Anyway... point is that the cause is not yet clear despite all the researches...
SO i odnt think any1 can say anything for sure.. only make assumptions... i just used researches cuz they have try to look how it goes from different angles and it wouldnt be right from me to say a random opinion w/o having do my search and having right sources to prove my words
But ye i also agree (as the researches do) that the way u grow, influences, conditions, environment in general affect u\
Now what else is taking part for the sexual taste hasnt not yet clarified.. we migthj learn in the next decades xD we might not Razz

lol, ur discriminating again in such a lovely manner

we haven't done almost anything (iraq and such kill gay people and most countries lock gays in jail). Ant they are still 2nd class citizens in many western countries (exception is Canada and Holland Smile )

and gay people should be fully entitled to adopt children. I for one would rather be adopted by 2 gays and be grateful to them than live in a "fecal ditch" somewhere in Ethiopia, Malawi or Nepal.

Post by *Hule* Fri Nov 07, 2008 1:42 pm

There are bisexuals, who feel attraction towards both guys and girls. This isn't under free will, as is not homosexuality or heterosexuality, either.

Also there are those youngsters who are 'searching for theirselves', not being sure about their sexual direction yet. I'd say this is what that Hollyoaks -storyline was about.
Every youngster eventually finds the thing that is meant for them.

Referring to and backing up Daryo's line, you could go in bed with a guy and do stuff, but that doesn't make you 100& gay. You've made a gay-ish deed, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you are gay.

Uh no, if youd watch, he had a girlfriend, HE WAS ATTRACTED TO FEMALES, then he developed Gay Feelings towards his friend.

Homophilia has two meanings;
acceptance of homosexuals that is put on for fear of seeming homophobic, or the sexual attraction towards homosexual people.

and who were you referring to Hule? saying things that are quite obvious lol

That really sounds like the description I wrote. Anyway, wether or not, don't tell me you've taken your lessons of homosexuality from Hollyoaks, lol. xD

Homophilia is love for the same gender, homosexuality is having sexual acts with the same gender. They often get confused.

The christian church states that homophilia is not a sin, but homosexuality is.

I believe those are different things, but trust me, not the half of the people know that detail. When you mention 'gay' they relate it to both feelings and sex.

A lot of women experiment in college (at least, that's what movies dictate me). So they have homosexual relationships for a short period, but are in no way homophiliac.

I hope that clears it out.
