Lets all fucking celebrate.
But what are we celebrating really?
Jesus' birth and his gifts from the 3 wise men.
Now if i believe correctly, people only like christmas for the presents.
Therefore no fucking merry christmas to any of you.

Merry xmas for tomorrow.
E-Nig its more of a commercial thing these days than what it used to be.. Think of all the xmas "sales" which is just an excuse for companies to market more products and people spend money on presents etc. But who gives a f u c k, some of us still love it right?

Only think I wish for is a new wallet, but personally I haven't cared for presents since I was 15, I'm much more interested in the great food, the homemade beer & distilled spirits.

Thats exactly my point.
Why this time of year to celebrate presents rather than the birth of the messiah?
Why not make it fucking december 24th?
Why the f u c k did they invent some obese, grey haired, old bastard just to make people feel all giddy, and i think the 'sales' are ok, as long as people dont overspend, we are celebrating gifts but f u c k jesus only got 3.

I don't think Jesus was born on December 24th anyway, no-one can tell he did. I heard people started celebrating Christmas in the place of some ancient Sun-God -fiest or something.
But who cares, if no-one knows when Jesus was born people can as well celebrate it on 24th December.
I don't take Christmas in so much a religious fiest, but more like being together with my family and friends. Of course 'cause my parents wanna have all the Jesus-stuff there I don't mind.
It's true Christmas has gotten way too commercial, though.

Christ-mas meaning The Birth of Jesus...Believe me there are a lot of people who celebrate it for the Birth of the Messiah....try going to church once in awhile.

Christmas is a christified feast of the Gauls, which happened to occur around (but not exactly on) the birthday of Jesus. Since the Romans were on a romanisation crusade (which also meant christification), but didn't want a war to break out of it, they slowly changed Gaul elements into christian ones. A lot of things which we consider christian, are Gaul in origin (I sadly cannot remember a concrete example).
